ABOUT


Jess Gordon is a writer, director, producer and editor born and raised in New York.

She is an alumni of the BFA program at the Film Conservatory of Purchase College.

During her four years at the conservatory, she wrote and directed four thesis films, which screened at festivals throughout the country and won several awards within her program. She also acted as a producer for two international short films which received acclaim world-wide.

Jess strives to make personal, character-driven work with a nuanced and subjective, feminine lens, often centering queer characters.

Her latest film, Hattie, Abloom was an Official Selection at the Montreal Independent Film Festival and the Rhode Island Film Festival.

She is currently a part of the Sundance Collab Writer’s Workshop, where she is developing her first feature film, Muddy Waters.

Jess is a freelance producer currently taking on new collaborations and projects. She is also a bartender and mixologist at several bar and restaurants in and around Troy, NY.
